A morning at the market in Phonsavan....

I enjoyed the town markets.  Since there are no supermarkets, everyone buys all their foodstuff at the local market.  Early mornings were the best time to go..  Most of the markets closed by 2 PM.  

You get a real feel for life in the markets.  I sought them out in Keng Tung, Louang Prrabang and Phonsavan.  

 

You tell ME WTF what these animals are.  Something like a squirrel and some baby chicks taken from the egg.  Best grilled, deep fried or poached?
