The Mekong on the left, The Nam Kham enters from the right. On the north side of Louang Prabang.
While in Keng Tung I glimpsed a guy holding a pig foot and repetively stroking the foot in the market. Curious, I moved closer to see exactly what he was doing. Turned out he was using a Bic shaver to shave off the hair off the leg before placing on the table for sale!!!! These snouts and feet were in the Louang Prabang morning market this AM.
Big cockroach things about 2.5" long in the LP market this AM.. They were alive and kicking. I guess they fry them???
Live fish in the LP market.
Carp and catfish in the morning market. The Mekong has one of the largest fishes in the world.
